PND

Possibly Not Definitely -or- Personal Navigation Device

Online jargon, also known as text message shorthand, used primarily in texting, online chat, instant messaging, email, blogs, and newsgroup postings, you can also say it as "Poss Not Def."

The term "PND" also refers to a portable electronic device which combines GPS capability and navigation functions. In this sense, it is widely used to describe the navigation devices found in automobiles. Early PNDs were handheld devices that displayed a user's location on an electronic map, and included simple navigation functions. The latest generation of PNDs have sophisticated navigation functions and feature a variety of user interfaces including maps, turn-by-turn guidance and voice instructions.
