As a complement to WYSIWYG, years ago Macs were the only personal computers that had a graphical user interface (GUI), and so "What You Saw, Looked Pretty Good." It is an acronym used primarily in texting, online chat, instant messaging, e-mail, blogs, and newsgroup postings, it is also considered a form of online jargon or text message shorthand.
