Alta-visitors

A play on the old search engine name "AltaVista," it refers to surfers who enter a website from a search engine and not "through the Web site's front door" (for example from a bookmark or remember the URL).

For example, "We had to scrap the frame-based design 'cause we weren't getting ad hits from the Alta-visitors."
