Interactive Advertising Bureau -and- Internet Architecture Board

The IAB stands for the Interactive Advertising Bureau, an organization that sets the standards relating to online advertising.

IAB also stands for the Internet Architecture Board, an organization that oversees the development of Internet standards and protocols. The IAB is chartered both as a committee of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and as an advisory body of the Internet Society (ISOC).

Historical perspective: The classic 468×60 ad banner size was retired in 2011 by the IAB.
