An acronym used in online chat, IM, e-mail, blogs, or newsgroup postings, it refers to a potential mate who lives at a distance, for example, I live in L.A., he lives in New Zealand; he's cute but completely geographically undesirable. It can also refer to a job prospect in a location where you don't want to live, for example, they offered me $120k for the position, but there's no chance I'm moving to Deadfish, Idaho, it's way too GUD.
