generation d

a.k.a. ADD generation

Unlike generation x and generation y, generation d(igital) is not determined by age. It's the group of people who are completely at ease with the digital revolution and consume online information regularly, whether they're 8 or 80.

ADD generation refers to Attention Deficit Disorder generation, and instead of it being biologically linked to ADD or ADHD, this generation's nickname is about the other contributing factor, namely the media, and how our consumer-driven media reflects and fosters ADD kinds of behaviors. For example frazzing, the frenzied multitasking, from jumping from cell phone to laptop to BlackBerry, that overwhelms the brain's processing power and short-circuits concentration.
