Founded by Marc Rotenburg, David Sobel, and David Banisar in 1994, EPIC is a public advocacy group and research center in Washington, D.C. It draws public attention to the civil liberties issues emerging online, in order to protect our privacy and to ensure that our First Amendment rights are upheld, even in cyberspace.
