Amazon.com

Amazon.com, Inc.
Launched in July of 1995, it is a Web site that has transformed the way we buy products. Considered the "online poster child for e-commerce," it is led by CEO Jeff Bezos and sells practically anything you'd want to buy online, including books, CDs, videos, DVDs, toys, games, electronics, free e-greeting cards, online auction items, and more. Part of the reason Amazon.com is so great is that you can search for items on any number of subjects, read about a product, and see what other people bought. Other reasons that Amazon is loved by many netizens include its One-Click Shopping Service and interactive wish lists; these features make shopping very easy and in many people's opinion, it sure beats the mall. Amazon was able to grab important market share early on, and it is known by millions of users because of its innovative affiliate marketing programs.
