cellpadding

A feature of a table in HTML, it controls the "padding" or the area around the contents of the table's cells. In HTML, tables allow an author to render text and graphics on a Web page in columns and rows. There are many options available for laying out a table, and cellpadding is one of them. Basically, cellpadding allows for more "white space" within each cell, whereas cellspacing provides more space between the cells. Of course, the two can be used together, which gives the author flexibility in designing the table. It's a subtle distinction but very apparent when used: click on the "more info" button below to see an example :-)
