two-tier affiliate program
a.k.a. two-tier commissions
A type of affiliate program whereby affiliates earn commissions on the number of users they refer and convert. In other words, this structure pays an affiliate commission both on sales resulting from their direct referral plus a commission on each sale resulting from any affiliates they have referred to the merchant.
