TiVo

A well known brand of a digital video recorder (DVR), it is a stand alone piece of equipment used to record and save television programs on hard disks inside cable and satellite receivers. Basically it digitally records your favorite shows (and let's you fast forward easily through the commercials), as in "we TiVo'd it."

A "TiVo bomb" is a design flaw in the TiVo personal video recorder (PVR) that causes it to save multiple episodes of a requested program instead of just one, writing over other shows you've recorded but haven't yet watched.
