neuromarketing

A field of marketing which studies the human brain's response to marketing stimuli. Using medical technology such as functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), researchers measure changes in activity in parts of the brain and attempt to discover why consumers make the decisions they do, and what part of the brain is telling them to do it. "Neuromarketing" is being called the most important breakthrough in marketing research.
