Java 2 Enterprise Edition
An important technology in some large companies, it uses distributed computing to answer queries. Developed by Sun Microsystems, J2EE is considered an app server. While J2SE is the revised version of the original Java spec, J2EE offers a programming environment for business applications running across distributed computer systems.
