ippie

A nickname for folks who convinced TPC to run a dedicated line (such as a T1) to their house or home office-long before the availability of cable modems or ISDN-in order to have always-on connectivity at a fixed IP address (regardless of the cost, which can run to the tune of thousands of dollars a month).
