click-and-ship

A sales operation whereby customers order products online from a company and the product is shipped directly to the customer. This kind of fulfillment process eliminates the middleman or the need for extensive distribution channels. For example, when you order a book from Amazon.com (like Netlingo - the book) or a computer from Dell, you click and they ship.
