Bot Of The United States

A bot that has the sole duty of monitoring President Trump's Twitter activity to see how it moves the stock market. 

Historical perspective: In 2017, NPR launched BOTUS to watch President Trump's Twitter feed, and when he tweets about a company, it trades stocks, with real money. Because the official Twitter handle of the President Of The United States is @POTUS, NPR named their bot @BOTUS. 

Online jargon, also known as text message shorthand, used in texting, online chat, instant messaging, email, blogs, and newsgroup postings, these types of abbreviations are also referred to as chat acronyms.
