4G LTE

Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution

Technically 4G refers to the fourth-generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to 3G and 2G standards with the aim to provide broadband Internet access to mobile (as well as desktop) users.

Generally referred to as the fourth-generation mobile phone system, 4G technologies enable IP-based voice, data and streaming multimedia at higher speeds.

LTE stands for Long Term Evolution, which is the project name of a high performance air interface for cellular mobile communication systems. It is the last step toward the 4G technologies designed to increase the capacity and speed of mobile telephone networks.
