B Channel




Bearer Channel

A wire used in ISDN service that can carry up to 64 Kbps of data when operating at full capacity. It is a clear channel "pipe" that carries voice, data, or video over ISDN. The Basic Rate Interface (BRI) service offered to home users has two B channels.
